I don’t know about you, but I absolutely love em’ winter greens. There is nothing more delicious, healthy and simple than this amazing spinach quick fix. Spinach in its purest form is an iron powerhouse (100 grams of fresh spinach contains 25% of our daily iron intake) and remains an essential part of our diet; even pop-eye couldn’t deal with life without his dosage of this leafy goodness.
Spinach is not just yummy and easy to make; it’s also incredibly versatile, and can be used in any and every cuisine. Add the baby leaves to your winter salads or blitz them with your nutrient-packed green smoothies- make this leafy green a way of life.
1 bunch fresh baby spinach leaves
1-tablespoon olive oil
1-tablespoon sesame oil
Wash the spinach leaves with cold water; pat dry and keep aside (make sure the leaves are not wilted and are fresh).
Heat the oil in a non-stick pan and add in the spinach leaves. Saute for about two-three minutes till the leaves get soft and wilted.
Now add the sesame oil and stir for another minute. Remove from the heat and sprinkle the flaxseeds. Serve as a side or a healthy snack.
